The other day I wrote about my Grandmother Werner's Lady Quilt, a quilt which she designed based on a favorite apron of hers back in the 1920s. In the 1970s I re-drew the pattern for her and it was printed in Olde Time Needlework Pattern and Design magazine. Gram made the quilt over and over --- I wonder how many of them are out there. The one shown here is mine and was probably made around 1980.
So, because I want her quilt design to live on, I made a PDF file from the 1983 magazine article which you can download and use. It is only three pages long but will need to be printed on over-sized paper (it is 10.5" x 11" so should be printed on 11" x 17" paper). Most copy shops can do this for you. Please enjoy it and if anyone makes I'd love to see your photos.
Thanks for reading.
