Sculptural Scarves: An Experiment

Since the publication of my Seaman's Scarves patterns I've had a lot of requests for the pattern. One thing people comment on is how much they love the strong stitch definition and the combination of lace and cables. So I got the idea to try to design a couple scarves using the same concepts of lace and cables with strong stitch definition. Both of the scarves are about half finished but I decided to post them here.

Both of them are made with Knit Picks' Merino Style and will use 6 skeins each. I'm knitting them on #8 needles. You won't really be able to see the pattern until they are blocked but here are the first two:

The Rose One (Fairy Tale):

I have plans for a third one but I'm really enjoying working on them and think, once they are blocked, they will be very interesting.

Thanks for reading.
