The proof copy for the print version of The Mermaid Shawl & other Beauties arrived and it looks great. I read through it and approved it so the book will now go into production and be available through Amazon, B&N-online and other internet booksellers soon. The e-book sold well at $14/book. The paperback will be $20 but, of course, it is a real book.

For me, I think, the most exciting thing was adding my book to the stack of knitting books that I most admire and use most often. I will also have books within a couple weeks that will be available. After publishing 2 books of fiction it seems kind of strange to be this excited over a book of knitting designs but it is different sort of adventure entirely. I can't wait to send copies to my beautiful models and get their reaction. I showed it to Clare and she was as excited as I am.
Stay tuned for more raving.
Thanks for reading.

Congratulations on your *real book* though I must say, the e-book is REAL to me! Love it. I've ordered 700 extra days this year, set aside for knitting and art, but so far haven't received a shipping notice...joyful creative spring to you!
Congrats on the "real" book.
By the way, Lacelady...where do you order those extra days? I'd like to order a few.
Kathleen, I'm so excited for the hard copy book. I'm going to beg you to autograph mine.
I hope one of the other books that's coming out soon is Each Angel Burns.
Thank you all.
Maureen, the strangest thing just happened. I have been working - again - on Each Angel Burns and I got a totally unexpected email from my first agent, the one who was crazy about The Old Mermaid's Tale but couldn't sell it. He asked what I am working on now.
Who knows....
